Christopher Lindon Shelby, M.D.Dr. Shelby was born and raised here in Shreveport Louisiana. After graduating from Southfield High School, he attended Texas A&M University. He graduated in 1995 with a B.S. in Zoology. He received his M.D. in 1999 from LSU Health Science Center in Shreveport. He completed a rotating internship at LSU HSC in 2000 and finished his Ophthalmology residency at LSU HSC in 2003. He started The Pierremont Eye Institute in conjunction with Willis Knighton Health System in July of 2003. He is specialized in Cataract and Refractive surgery. He also is dedicated to overall eye health and takes care of all eye conditions. Dr. Shelby became Board Certified by the American Academy of Ophthalmology in December of 2004 He is a member of:
Dr. Shelby has been married to his wonderful wife, Carolyn, for 7 years. He has 3 beautiful children, Stanford (6), Linden (4) and Christopher Harold (2). Ashley Wheat Sipes, M.D.Dr. Sipes, a native of Natchitoches, LA, is the daughter of Dr. Margaret Wheat-Carter and the late Dr. Reginald Wheat, both ophthalmologists. She moved to New Orleans after high school where she attended Newcomb College of Tulane University. Dr. Sipes majored in English Literature and minored in Biology, recieving a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1995. She came to the Shreveport area over ten years ago to attend LSU Health Science Center's medical school. Earning her Medical Doctorate in 2001, Dr. Sipes continued at LSUHSC-Shreveport to complete a one-year Internal Medicine internship and a three-year Ophthalmology residency. She joined Dr. Shelby at the Pierremont Eye Institute in October 2005. Dr. Sipes' husband, Rich Sipes, is also a physician, practicing Internal Medicine at Shreveport's Schumpert Hospital. The doctors Sipes have one beautiful daughter, Emma, who is 1 ½. Dr. Sipes has an interest in Eye Lid Surgery (BLEPHAROPLASTY), Botox, Restalyne and Facial Aesthetics.
